The Descendants (Blu-ray/DVD + Digital Copy) (2011) movies preview.

The Oscar-winning writer, director Alexander Payne-(Sideways) will have to throw thehandsome George Clooney, the father in a messy adaptation of his outstanding adaptation of Kaui Hart Hemmings's tragicomic novel. George Clooney plays among the titular descendants, someone whose family has excellent historical significance towards Hawaiian Islands.  Actually, he with the exceptional many cousins own a great tract of pristine land that plays a serious role within the film's fascinating side story. In the forefront, however, is usually a more personal tale of family dysfunction and taking together in crisis.

Clooney does a deft turn as Matt, producing comical in the situations where he could be clearly outside of his depth yet sympathetic to be a man having to deal with anger and hurt looking for answers where there may not the truth is be any. Shailene Woodley is great, turning in a bravura performance as Alex who's caught concerning: in between her mother and her father when she discovers her mother's affair, among her mother and her younger sister whom she tries to shield through the truth, in between her father and her boyfriend Sid (Nick Krause) a genial slacker who unfortunately has got the practice of saying clueless stuff get people to would like to punch him in the face, and quite a few of all, between still like a child and having to become a grownup from the situation they are all now in.

The Adventures of Tintin movies preview.

The Adventures of Tintin follows the exciting exploits of an young newsman, his dog, captain having a boozing problem, and a few bumbling Interpol detectives since they travel from Europe towards the Sahara and Morocco looking for a pickpocket, model-ship collectors, and long-lost cache. Steven Spielberg's and Peter Jackson's long-awaited full-length film, depending on the original "Tintin" comics by Hergé, mixes the stories "The Secret from the Unicorn," "Red Rackham's Treasure," and "The Crab with all the Golden Claws" into a generally fast-paced adventure that feels just a tad a long time.
As with the comics themselves, the characters are highly stylized and instantly recognizable, but Tintin's look is eerily stoic as there are a hint of strangeness that's hard to put a finger on. Snowy is wonderfully funny to observe, though he's a trifle fluffier than in an original comics, plus the real animation standouts are classified as the secondary characters like Thompson and Thomson and Captain Haddock, who somehow seem completely excellent.
